The Institution

A non-profit institution building India's workforce infrastructure.

India will add more workers to the global economy this century than any other country. Open Skill Foundation exists to make sure every one of those skills can be identified, verified, and carried across employers, sectors, and borders through open public infrastructure, not closed platforms.

Vision

To build trusted skill infrastructure for every worker in Bharat.

Mission

To create open standards, trusted systems, and interoperable infrastructure for skills, learning, and workforce mobility.

Why OSF Exists

Credential fog is a structural failure of trust.

The economy cannot price what it cannot verify. India's workforce capability is real, vast and growing, but it remains invisible at the moment of opportunity. Credential fog is not an information problem. It is an infrastructure problem.

Fragmented Issuance

Thousands of issuers, no shared schema, no verifiability layer.

Opaque Verification

Verification is manual, slow, and frequently impossible at scale.

Invisible Mobility

Skilled workers cannot carry capability across employers, sectors or borders.

Team & Advisors

Public Interest Philosophy

Built like a road. Stewarded like a republic.

We treat skill infrastructure as a public good, designed for openness, governed transparently, and built to outlast any single organisation. Our standards are royalty-free. Our protocols are open. Our research is publicly available. The outcome we optimise for is workforce dignity.
